My Journey To A 700b Deadlift
If you asked me 4 years ago if I’d ever have a 300lb deadlift, I would’ve said you are nuts. Fast forward to now, I just recently pulled 615lbs at CT Fletcher’s new gym in Miami called Iron Addicts and am well on my way to getting to my next goal of a 700lbs deadlift!
I have loved and hated this process.
Struggling to accept myself in my earlier years to hitting seemingly permanent plateaus, I’ve fought hard to get to where I am today.
The mental struggle of ridding myself from limitations was matched by the physical struggle of adapting to situation.
I’ve learned to accept no limit and fear no goal. My strength starts with my decision to succeed and is carried out through my daily actions– and reactions to all that happens.
Progress takes time. It takes patience. It takes the willingness to fail in the moment in order to win in the long run.
My biggest advice to anyone working on achieving something great– Hustle with residence. Be urgent and precise with your actions so that they reflect your goal. Remove thought of can’t and weak language like maybe or one day and replace it with “I will”.
Your biggest advantage in accomplishing the most daunting task– you can decide to never give up.
You are always one decision away from improving (or worsening) your life.
